After earning her degree in Interior Design at Ryerson University in 2009 she dove right into the industry working one on one with a seasoned Architect. This early experience sharpened her knowledge of the technical side of the construction industry and in turn gave her a true respect for the craftsmanship of those trades building the spaces she designs. From there she moved on to work for a boutique residential design firm for the next 7 years. Working as the right hand to the lead designer, Nicci became intensely familiar and passionate about the world of finishes, textiles and furnishings, rounding off her spectrum of skills as a designer. Nicci successfully aquired her NCIDQ certification, legally registering her to practice interior design in Ontario.
After nearly a decade of a broad range of experience in the design field, Nicci took the natural step to establish her own design studio, wide eyes interior design.
Her aesthetic can be described as thoughtful, unexpected and bold. She is extremely observant, drawing inspiration from the collective creativity of her surroundings; people, places, objects and nature alike. Her eyes are wide open, taking it all in!
